Covid-19 Maintenance Discount
to Cease from Week 12
At week 11, has been been giving 50% discount to owners who were unable to occupy for a full year, so all owners who were entitled will have received this benefit.
However, I want to remind you that after week 11 we cannot afford to use any more of our funds, so from week 12, the discount arrangement will cease. From that date owners will be asked to pay the full maintenance rate, regardless of any travel restrictions that may remain in place at that time. Hopefully they will have been lifted
The discount offer has been very expensive for the Community on top of the massive loss of rental income. We are one of just two Wimpen resorts offering 50% discount, and no other timeshare company offers their owners a discount.
Although some savings are being made with many staff on furlough and little occupation, we need to use any savings to help towards recuperating our losses
Unlike rentals, annual maintenance fees are a responsibility that comes with ownership, even if you cant use your weeks. Rental are being advertised throughout Europe so you still have the oppotunty to put your weeks into the rental programme or bank your weks with RCI or DAE.
To use the rental programe, contact onwer@wimpen..com. Rental demand is of course very low at present so cannot be guaranteed.
I appreciate times are tough for everyone and I appeal to owners to please pay your fees by the due date to keep our resort secure and ensure the long term financial viability of Los Claveles.
